EOTD: The Cut Crease

I meant to post this look the other day when I actually did it, but then never did. Better late than never eh?

I wanted to practise my cut-crease, and get the technique down so I could do it on a client/model if needed. This isn't perfect by any means, but I think I'm getting there. What do you think?

I don't remember exactly what I used as I was experimenting, but it was something like:

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Claire's hot pink body art crayon
Black pencil liner
88 palette pink
Too Faced Glampire
Helen E hot pink glitter
Kryolan liquid liner
Urban Decay Naked & Buck
Sleek black eyeshadow
MAC Vanilla pigment

Hope you like it, let me know in the comments if there is anything in particular you want to see me write about or do. I get a bit stuck sometimes!

Indian Sunset

Spent my afternoon messing about with make-up, after having a morning in bed feeling ill. I came up with a slightly different version of my Halloween bat look, a sunset with birds.

For this look, I used Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, Sugarpill Buttercupcake, Flamepoint and Afterparty. For the transition between yellow and blue I used Barry M Dazzle Dust in 93 - Block Blue.

For the birds and the eyeliner, I just used a cheap liquid liner with a nail art brush, then pressed matt black eyeshadow onto the waterline.

Hope you like it!

Party in the Park Makeup!

Hi guys! I'm back from my holiday, well rested and ready to go again. After I got back I went to Party in the Park, which is a one-day festival near where I live. The music was not my usual kind of thing, but I still had a good time with some of the girls from my college.

Here's the look I went with:

I used Sleek eyeshadows from the Acid and Curacao palettes, over Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. For the blue-ish sparkle I used a little of Fyrinnae City Glam: Lights of Kyoto.

Hope you are all enjoying your Summer!

EOTD: Summer Brights

Hi guys, hope you are all well. I've been feeling ill this weekend so I wanted to relax this morning and put some makeup on. Again, I used the Sleek Acid and Caribbean palettes because the warm weather we're having really makes me want to use bright colours.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Sleek Acid Palette
Sleek Caribbean Palette
Smashbox Limitless Liquid Liner Pen in Jet Black
Illamasqua Volume Mascara in Harness
Urban Decay Naked and Buck on eyebrows

Hope you enjoy!

P.S. Very soon I will be having a giveaway on my blog, as I am about to reach 100 subscribers! Pass my link on to speed things up ;)

This an eye of the day I did using one of my favourite shadows of all time, Dressed to Kill. It's a beautiful olive-y green with loads of golden sparkles.

Fyrinnae Dressed to Kill (lid and lower lashline)
Hi Fi Shadow in Bad Seed - a gorgeous golden olive green (inner corner)

EOTD: Christmas Cut-Crease

Hi everyone, I hope you've all had a good festive season and that you are well. I've been so busy, with working  on Christmas Eve, back on the 27th, then a wedding to attend. Phew! The last couple of days I have had a well-earned rest. Anyway, this is a look I did on the 23rd for a Christmas meal with friends. I've only just got round to posting it!

I'm really enjoying this kind of look lately! I like pushing myself :)

What I used:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese (lid)
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Rocky Mountain Green (crease)
GOSH Effect Powder in Steel (used wet on the lid)
The Body Needs Glitter in Snow Flake (lid) - doesn't really show in the photos
Sleek Acid Palette greens
Urban Decay Mildew (from Ammo palette)
Sugarpill Midori Pressed Shadow
Sleek black eyeshadow
Black liquid eyeliner, can't remember the brand, but it's not great
Sugarpill Tako pressed shadow
MAC Pigment in Frozen White (inner corner)

I like this look, it reminds me of Slytherin haha! Hope you do too :)

FOTD: It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Hello! I thought today I would do a bit of a Christmas themed look. I know it's been done a thousand times before, but I love it. Glittery red lips and neutral, 50's style eye makeup.

Sorry my skin is bad and my lips are cracked at the corners. Oh well! Anyway, for this look I used:

Skin

e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain
Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer in Light
Fyrinnae Rapunzel Had Extensions (as cheek highlight)
Sleek Blush in Suede
Ulta blush, can't remember the shade

Eyes

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Soap & Glory Lid Stuff in What's Nude
Asda George 4 colour eye palette in chestnut
Black mascara

Lips

Barry M Lip Liner in shade 3
Nyx Round Lipstick in Snow White
The Body Needs red glitter

Hope you like this look, and you all have a lovely Christmas if you celebrate!

FOTD: Living Dead Dragon

This is a look I wore last weekend when I went out for a friend's Hen party. I wanted to do something slightly 1920s inspired, so I went for a dark eye with green tones, which was darker at the inner eye area.

Sorry I look so miserable in the full face pic, I hate taking them haha! Anyway, here's what I used:

Eyes

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean
Spellbound Cosmetics Dragon Scales
Hi Fi Cosmetics Living Dead Girl
MAC White Gold Pigment
Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Zero
Illamasqua Volume Mascara in Harness

Face

e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Sin

Lips

Collection 2000 CreamPuff Moisturising Lip Cream in Angel Delight

Dragon Scales is the main colour in this look, it's a MAC Club-esque brown/green duochrome which, as usual, looks awesome over a black base. For this look, rather than my usual smoky look with this type of colour, I brought more of the dark colours into the inner eye area, quite high up which reminds me of the silent movie stars. I hope you like it!

EOTDs: Rainbow and Cut Crease

Hi everyone, just a quick post with a couple of the looks I've worn over the past week for you. The first one is a rainbow eye I did to wear to a makeup event I went to in Manchester.

It looks kinda faded in the pictures but it was quite bright in person, except for the inner corner. I can't remember exactly what I used, but I used Sleek Curacao palette and Kawaii from Shiro cosmetics for definite :)

The next look I wore last night to go see a production of Top Hat, which was really lovely!

I'm practising cut crease looks as I absolutely love how they look. It's a bit creased since I took these pictures when I got in at the end of the night. For this one I used Nyx jumbo eye pencils in Milk and Black Bean, Spellbound Cosmetics' Enchanted on the lid mixed with Shiro's Lolita. I used black and silver in the crease from a cheap Claire's palette. The waterline is a white pencil with Fyrinnae Omgwtf pressed over the top, and the lashes are Ardell demi 101s.

Hope you like them! I have picked up a fair bit of makeup lately, as I've been to the Clothes Show Live, so hopefully I will get some swatches up for you! I do plan on using a lot of it in my kit though so you might not see it in looks on here.

Experiments: Cut-Crease Attempt #1

Hello! I've been obsessing over makeup by Lauren aka queenofblending lately, and she is an expert in the cut crease look, so I wanted to see if I could do it myself! I've had a go using just simple colours and some glitter. Hopefully I will be able to do a modified version of this over the Christmas period, as I feel dragalicious makeup is totally appropriate for works do's, family gatherings and the like...

Aaand the obligatory blurry omg sparkly picture:

I'm actually really pleased with how this turned out. The lid looks a little dirty, so I would probably use a different colour other than white next time, and I'd use glitter which is closer to the eyeshadow colour. Cool as this one with reflects is, maybe its not perfect with this look.

I used:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Sugarpill Tako
Sleek black from Curacao palette
Silvery/grey colour and dark grey from cheapo Claire's palette
White/green duochrome colour from Sue Moxley palette
No-name glitter eyeliner (as a base)
MAC Glitter Reflects Blue
Smashbox liquid eyeliner pen
Covergirl Lashblast

Hope you like it!

EOTD: Faded Sunset

Hello everyone! This is a look I did one evening this week. We've been having beautiful sunsets every night this week, and unusually hot weather for this time of year, so I wanted to do an eyeshadow look that reflected the sky's colours.

For this look I used:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Fyrinnae Rapunzel Had Extensions (inner corner and lid)
Fyrinnae Banana Mochi (lid)
Fyrinnae Arcane Magic in Faerie Glamour (outer corner and crease)

Hope you like this look :)

EOTD: Journey of a Dinosaur

Here's a look I did today with Fyrinnae's Dinosaur Plushie. As always, photos don't do this eyeshadow justice at all.

The crease colour is actually matte but looks shimmery since the Dinosaur Plushie sparkles got all over :)

What I used:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese
Fyrinnae Dinosaur Plushie
HiFi Cosmetics Journey of a Gemini
Janet Colours Dust - not sure it has a name/shade number but it's a neon matte pinky purple.

In other news, I'm going to college soon to study a course on makeup, so hopefully I will be able to post about some of the things I have done on the course for you. I can't wait to get started, although of course I'm nervous at the same time.

Hope you are all well!

EOTD: It only hurts when I mauve!

Hello! Just a quick post to show you today's look and one from Saturday night. My skin is quite bad at the moment so full face shots are not looking great.

I just used Too Faced Shadow Insurance, MAC Pigment in Mauvement all over the lid, and Hi Fi Cosmetics My Pain in the crease/outer corner. I used Urban Decay Virgin as my brow and inner corner highlight. Then I used a tiny bit of elf brown cream liner on the upper lashline, and black mascara.

Sorry these pictures are a bit blurry, and the last one is horrible, but shows the makeup :p

I used:

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Sleek Acid and Curacao palettes
Sugarpill Dollipop and Poison Plum.
HiFi Cosmetics Morbid Faith
Sleek Suede blusher.

Hope you like these looks!
