FOTD: Fyrinnae Sennyo

This is the look I did on Friday night when I went out for a friend's birthday meal. It was really lovely and we had a great time. We went to a Chinese restaurant which I love, ordered a ton of yummy food and drank wine :) I did a look which was quick but I love the combo and my bf always complements it. Sennyo is one of my all-time favourite colours; it's bright but pretty, not to dark, not too blue, and goes with so many other eyeshadows.

I realise there is liner on my lashes, you couldn't tell from a normal distance :p

What I used:

Urban Decay Primer Potion
NYC Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk (inner corner)
Fyrinnae Sennyo - bright pinky purple (lid)
Hi Fi Cosmetics Rockstar Loose Eyeshadow in Top 40 - raspberry pink (crease)
Hi Fi Cosmetics Shadow in In Bloom - bubblegum pink (above crease & inner corner)
Beauty From The Earth Big Ego - deep purple (lower lashline)
Collection 2000 Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in Le Freak

Hi Fi's In Bloom reminds me of Sugarpill's Dollipop, except loose. I sometimes use it instead because it's easier to get off for me. Dollipop can sometimes stain my eyelids a bit. I love Hi Fi's shadows so much, they're so soft and blendable and the shades are mostly unique :) Hope you like this look!

P.S. I'm thinking of doing some more tutorials soon, maybe how to use glitter eyeliner, and how to wear bright coloured eyeshadow. Let me know if any of you are interested!

Tropical Eyes

Today I was inspired by MacNC40's look, although I know I've done something almost identical before. I like this colour combo a lot though, and got complimented by the sales girls when I was out shopping twice! When I was out I also ended up buying 2 of the new Sleek lipsticks, which I will probably swatch and review soon, I really like them! Anyway, here's the pics:

Argh full face picture! You can see my crazy hair here. I'm actually getting rid of the red from it which I've been dying it for about 5 years or so now. I'm going for the ombre effect, but I think it needs a second go with the bleach. Let me know if you've tried it or if you want to know more about it :)

Products used:

Eyes:
UDPP
BFTE Seafoam (aqua) - lid
Sugarpill Poison Plum (purple) - crease & lower lashline
Sugarpill Dollipop (pink) - to blend out the crease
Sugarpill Tako (white) - inner corner
Sugarpill Buttercupcake (yellow) - over white on inner corner

Lips:
Bourjois Sweet Kiss Naturel in Rose Innocence
Jesse's Girl Liquid Crystal Lip gloss in Wicked

Cheeks:

Purple Haze

Today I wanted to do a look that would bring out the green in my eyes, so of course I went for purples :) I really love these colours, and I think using different toned purples actually works really well. When I first started experimenting with makeup, I kind of thought you just had to use a light colour on the lid, and a darker version of the same colour in the crease. Now I think blue- and red based purples work well to make a more interesting effect.

I used some shades from Urban Decay's Ammo Palette, plus BTFE Big Ego, which I saw swatched on my tiger lily's blog and instantly had to pull it out and use it. Such a pretty shade.

Products used

UDPP
UD Last Call (metallic red-purple) - lid and lower lashline
BFTE Big Ego (dark blue purple) - crease/outer corner
UD Grifter (lavender with silver glitter) - inner corner/ inner crease area
black mascara

Beauty From The Earth Swatches

Beauty From The Earth's eyeshadows are really beautiful, particularly their mattes, which are the nicest and smoothest matte eyeshadows I've used. I must get more! All are swatched over Pixie Epoxy.

Sunlight.

Indoor lighting. 1st set of swatches seems more accurate to me. Pegasus & Deep Thoughts are more yellow, Seafoam is a bluer green.

Second set of swatches is much more accurate. Showgirl is glitter, Truffle is matte.
