Today I wanted to recreate a look Tanja did on her blog using the Sleek
Curaçao Palette. It's smoky yet really colourful and pretty. The colours she picked out go really well together.
Instead of the fluidline she used as a base, I used a Smashbox Cream Eye Liner from their Vixen palette in the Burlesque box. I used the Navy shade.
On my cheeks I used Sleek blusher in Aruba.
From the Curacao Palette on the eyes I used the shades Green Iguana (top right in the palette), Purple Haze (the matte purple), and Singapore Sling (shimmery pink). On the inner corner I used Martini (shimmery cream), and on the brow bone I used a matte skin colour shadow. Black pencil liner is on my waterline and upper lashline, and black mascara on the lashes.
Hope you like this look!

Playing with Sleek Pout Paints
I've been looking at some pictures of the things people have done with OCC Lip Tars and got inspired to play with Sleek's version, the Pout Paints (you can see my swatches and thoughts here and here).
I had a go at creating an ombre/fade effect. Here's how they turned out:
Sorry there's a bristle from my lip brush stuck on my lip : \ Couldn't get it off without ruining the lips. For this one, I used the shades Mauve Over, Peek-a-Bloo and Pinkini.
For this one I used Minx, Cloud 9 and Lava.
If you have the Pout Paints, what are your favourite ways to use them?
Hope you enjoy!

Eyes of the Day - Hell Frozen
Hi everyone! Just a quick EOTD for you. I used some Hi Fi shadows that I feel don't get enough love from me.
I like the eyeliner actually. It makes a change having liner on the waterline for me, as I usually think it makes my eyes look too small but it looked ok today.
Here's what I used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Hi Fi Shadow in Hell Frozen (lid)
Hi Fi Shadow in My Pain (crease)
Hi Fi Shadow in Journey of a Gemini (inner corner)
Urban Decay Virgin (brow highlight)
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Zero
Black mascara
Hope you like it!

Makeup Experiment with Sugarpill
So I wanted to mess about with makeup last night, whilst looking at some pictures of the makeup Pat McGrath did for a John Galliano show. Here's what I came up with:
I think it turned out a bit like Edward Scissorhands meets the 1920s. Wish I could cover my eyebrows but it seemed a bit too much hassle. I'm quite pleased with how this experiment turned out though, let me know if it's something you want to see more of.
Here's what I used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Sugarpill Tako (white) - all over face and eyelids
Sugarpill Dollipop (bright pink)
Sugarpill Poison Plum (purple)
GOSH Effects Powder in Steel (silver, used wet)
The Body Shop Cheek Colour in Heather Pink
La Senza Shimmer and Shine - wish I didn't use this, looks glitter-tastic
Sleek Pout Paints - Port mixed with Peek-a-Bloo
Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel
Hope you like it!

Sleek Pout Paints: More Swatches
So today I managed to pick up some more of the Sleek Pout Paints, and they were on 3 for 2, bonus! I skipped on Milkshake and Rosette, as I felt they were more common colours that could easily be mixed using the other shades.
In addition the the shades I already have (which can be seen reviewed and swatched here), I got Lava (orange), Peek-a-bloo (blue), Cloud 9 (white), Peachy Keen (pale orangey peach), Pin Up (classic red) and Pinkini (Hot Pink).
I haven't swatched the blue and white here for you, as I feel like they're designed mostly to be mixed with other shades. If you want to see them swatched alone, check out some other blogs :)
Here's the others:
Pin Up
Peachy Keen
Lava
Pinkini
My favourite is Lava. I don't have an orange like this in my collection; a proper awesome hot orange with no coral-y-ness to it. Reminds me of the lips on some Miu Miu models I've seen.
I think the worst thing about the Pout Paints for me, is that there's no black. I'd love to see that added to the collection, but otherwise I still love them. They are priced at £4.99 but currently on 3 for 2 in Superdrug.

Eyes of the Day - Dinosaur Plushie
So in my last Fyrinnae order I finally got Dinosaur Plushie! Everyone goes on about it, so I don't know why I've left it so long to let it join my collection. But I have it now, and it's true, photos do no justice to how sparkly and pretty it is.
Click photos to enlarge.
Products used:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Fyrinnae Dinosaur Plushie
Hi Fi Cosmetics Dark Star Capricorn
Fyrinnae Daemon's Tail
Sleek Oh So Special Palette (matte cream and matte light brown)
Mascara
Hope you like the look!
