FOTD: Too Faced Glampire

Today I wanted to use my Too Faced Glamour Dust in Glampire since it's so so pretty but I hardly use it. It's kinda like a flaky glitter eyeshadow, glittery, duochromey goodness! Here it is on it's own:

Sleek Acid Look

Last night I wanted to use my Sleek Acid palette again, I love it :) I just basically copied xSparkage's look since she made it look so cool, but it's very similar to what I normally do with it. I skipped the black though since I wanted it to be mega bright. I also just got the Nyx Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk so I was excited to try that out. I'm suitably pleased with it :)

It would have probably looked better with false eyelashes I think, but they look weird on me :s So my eyelashes look a bit pants but never mind, I love this look.

Here's what I used:

Eyes
UDPP
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Sleek Acid Palette (yellow, orange, neon pink, raspberry, purple, light blue, green, white)
Rimmel Professional Liquid Eye Line
Mascara

Cheeks
Fyrinnae Glow Blush in Charm

Lips
Collection 2000 Lock n Hold Lipgloss in Body Pop

Hope you like it!

My Top 10 Lipsticks: Swatches

In this post I'm going to talk about my favourite lipsticks. Be aware that I don't tend to wear dark or bright lipsticks a lot so they are mostly neutrals and nudes. Most of these are great for wearing with a bright eye look. I hope you like them!

Eyes of the Day - Orange & Purple

Here's a look using some of my favourite shadows. I think it goes really well with green eyes.

What I used:

UDPP
Hi Fi Cosmetics shadow in Mind Manipulator (orange) - lid
Fyrinnae Sennyo (pink-purple) - crease
Fyrinnae Parental Advisory (darker more blue purple) - outer corner & lower lashline
Hi Fi Cosmetics So What (shimmery pink with blue duochrome) - to blend crease upwards.
BeautyUK Pearl Eyeliner in Purple Haze
Accessorize Glitter Eyeliner in Electric Pink

On a side note, the Accessorize eyeliner is running out so fast on me! The tube seems half empty and I've only used it 3-4 times. It's like the Dazzleglass of eyeliners. :( Pretty but disappears too soon.

Eyes of the Day - Everyday Neutral

Hey everyone, this is just a quick simple look I did a few days ago. I noticed a lot of people liked the Mac post so this look incorporates some of the few Mac shadows I own. This is one of my fave combos for when I want to look made-up but quite natural. It's the sort of thing I would wear to an interview or something.

I tried to edit the colour balance to show the colours as they truly are, but it still turned out more purple than they really are.

I used:

UDPP
MAC Malt - lid
Sue Moxley silvery taupe (sorry I don't know the shade number!)- crease
MAC Embark - along upper lashline
mascara

Hope you like it. I have some of the beauty uk pearl eyeliners and a lipstick from the new range if anyone would like to see a review of those. Let me know.

More Hi Fi Cosmetics Swatches!

I recently received another order from Hi Fi and thought I better swatch them for you guys :)

I bought full size eyeshadows in Top 40, Another Day Another Drama, So What, and Suicide Trees and was sent free samples of Yuletide Carols and Three Libras.

Natural light.
Indoor light.

Here are Hi Fi's colour descriptions:

SO WHAT is an amazing, cool pink with tons of blue-violet iridescent shimmer!

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER DRAMA is a vibrant purple with ultra-fine cosmetic grade holo glitter and tons of pink and fuschia sparkle!

TOP 40 is a deep hot pink jam-packed with LOADS of fuschia sparkle!!!

SUICIDE TREES is a deep, metallic teal on an opaque black base! As beautiful as it is dark and ominous!

DARK STAR CAPRICORN is a dark, warm plum shade that is absolutely loaded with gorgeous pink sparkle!

THREE LIBRAS is a cool, pale, shimmering beige with lots of iridescent sparklies!

YULETIDE CAROLS is a rich, robust brown loaded with black-gold glitter!

My faves are So What and Suicide Trees. So What is a nice colour to wear on it's own as a daytime colour when you want something light but pretty. Suicide Trees would be gorgeous in a smoky eye look.

Hi Fi is available from etsy or artfire on facebook.

I hope these are helpful to you :)

MAC Club Eyeshadow and its 'Dupes'

MAC's Club eyeshadow is a very popular colour that a lot of other companies make 'dupes' of. A dupe a name the makeup community has given to anything which closely resembles or copies a particular product, usually something more expensive, hard to find or discontinued.

Club itself is a pressed, satin finish shadow, which MAC describes as a "red-brown with green pearl". In this post I've rounded up all the colours I have which are similar to this in my eyes. The eyeshadows that I am comparing are: MAC Club, MUA Shade 12, MAC Blue Brown Pigment and a shade from Famous by Sue Moxley which I got in the 'complete face kit'. I believe that the Sue Moxley colour is also available as a single eyeshadow, however I don't have it so can't compare or give you a shade name, sorry!

From the above picture you can see that Club seems to be the least bold, more of a grey-brown, with a very weak duochrome. In real life you can see the green more than in the photo, but it isn't strong like Blue Brown pigment.

Song of the Day: Sunny Sabbath

If you only know Black Sabbath for their song Paranoid, you won't expect songs like this. I think it's a perfect song for chilling in the sun :)
