Hi everyone. Thought I'd post about a project I've been working on for absolutely ages. My tutor at college suggested this actually, as a way of practising my skills as a make-up artist. She said a good way to learn would be to go through a magazine, and try to recreate every single look in it yourself. While I haven't quite done all the looks in one magazine, I've done a lot. I went for mostly adverts, where you can see the make-up. It challenged me to try things I wouldn't normally, which I think is awesome.
Here's the looks:
I couldn't tell you what I used in most of these, as I did them quite a while ago. I know I look like crap in these pictures too so I apologise. I just want to get across that if you want to improve your make-up skills, try stepping outside your box, try copying looks you like, or even ones you don't.
Hope you enjoyed this post!
What a neat idea! This sounds like a really fun project, it was neat seeing your interpretations of these really different looks :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea!!! I have often tried to re-create looks I like but I think it would be a learning experience to try and do everything that you see! Definitely sounds like fun, I'll remember to try this next time I'm feeling bored or uninspired with my makeup.
